Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the town of Câmpulung Moldovenesc, which is a common starting point for visitors. From Câmpulung Moldovenesc, take DN2D road heading towards the village of Putna. Follow DN2D for approximately 15 km. You will see signs for Cascada Putnei; turn off the main road onto the side road leading to the waterfall. Please note that parking may be available near the waterfall entrance, and you should be prepared to pay a small fee of about 2 lei per person to access the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Cascada Putnei by public transport, take a bus from Suceava or Câmpulung Moldovenesc to the village of Putna. Buses from Suceava to Câmpulung Moldovenesc run regularly and take about 1 hour. From Câmpulung Moldovenesc, switch to a local bus heading towards Putna. Once you arrive in Putna, you can ask locals for directions to Cascada Putnei, which is approximately a 3 km walk from the village. Be aware that the walk is scenic but can be steep in parts, so wear comfortable shoes.
