If you are driving, start in Zalău, the capital of Sălaj County. Head southeast on DN1H toward Sărmășag. Continue on DN1H for about 20 km until you reach the village of Lorău. In Lorău, turn left onto DJ108E. Follow this road for approximately 5 km, and you will arrive at Pietrele Boiului, located at coordinates 46.9142, 22.6114. There is parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
To reach Pietrele Boiului via public transportation, take a bus from Zalău to Lorău. Buses are available at the Zalău bus station, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lorău bus station, you will need to walk approximately 5 km to reach Pietrele Boiului. It is advisable to use a map app for navigation or ask locals for directions to the site.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and are already in the vicinity, you can hike to Pietrele Boiului. From the center of Lorău, head southeast along the dirt paths leading through the forest.
