Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Sighisoara Citadel, exit the citadel through the main gate and walk down towards Piața Cetății. Continue down the street until you reach the intersection with Strada Mihai Viteazul. Turn left onto Mihai Viteazul and walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Strada 1 Decembrie 1918. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach a sign for Albești. Continue on this road, and after about 2 kilometers, look for signs pointing to Petofi Museum on your right. Follow the signs until you arrive at Strada Muzeului, where the museum is located.

    From the main bus station in Sighisoara, take a bus heading towards Albești. The buses run regularly, so check the schedule for exact times. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you want to stop at Strada Muzeului. It is a short ride of about 15 minutes. After getting off, walk along Strada Muzeului for about 300 meters, and you will find Petofi Museum on your left.
