Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Sighișoara Citadel, exit the citadel through the main gate and head towards Strada Zidul Cetății. Continue walking down this street, passing by the colorful houses and shops. You will see the iconic Clock Tower on your left. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Strada Cizmarilor. Turn left onto Strada Cizmarilor and continue walking until you reach the base of the Scara Cizmarilor (The Staircase of the Shoemakers).

    From the Sighișoara Train Station, exit the station and turn right onto Strada Gării. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Strada Zidul Cetății. Turn left and continue walking along Strada Zidul Cetății, passing the Clock Tower to your left. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will see the entrance to Scara Cizmarilor on your right at the intersection with Strada Cizmarilor.

    If you are near the local market (Piața Cetății), head southwest towards Strada Zidul Cetății. Walk straight along the street, passing various shops and cafes.
