Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Sighișoara Citadel, head southwest toward Strada Cetății. Continue walking down this street until you reach the junction with Strada Nucului. Turn left onto Strada Nucului and follow it until you reach the intersection with Strada Oae. Turn right onto Strada Oae and keep walking straight. You will notice the entrance to The Torture Chamber on your right side, about 500 meters from the intersection.

    Starting from the Clock Tower, walk down Strada Scolii, which leads directly into the heart of the citadel. Continue straight until you reach Piața Cetății (the Citadel Square). From the square, take Strada Târgului that leads out of the square. Walk along Strada Târgului, and after approximately 300 meters, The Torture Chamber will be located on your left.

    From the Sighișoara train station, walk towards the main street called Strada Sighișoarei. Proceed to the intersection with Strada Cetății. Continue straight on Strada Cetății until you reach the Citadel area. Once inside, head towards the Clock Tower and then follow the previous directions to reach The Torture Chamber.
