Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Sighisoara, start at the Clock Tower (Turnul cu Ceas). Head southeast on Strada T. Vladimirescu, passing by the old houses and shops. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Strada Scolii, where you will turn left. Follow Strada Scolii until you reach the intersection with Strada Mihai Viteazul. Turn right onto Strada Mihai Viteazul, and then take the next left onto DC54. Continue walking along DC54 for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs for Via Transilvanica along the way. The trail begins at DC54 126, Sighișoara 545400.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From the central bus station in Sighisoara, take a local bus heading towards the outskirts. Look for buses that have stops near DC54 route. Confirm with the bus driver that they stop near the Via Transilvanica trailhead. When you reach your stop, walk back along DC54 for about 500 meters. The trailhead will be on your right at DC54 126, Sighișoara 545400.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike, start from the center of Sighisoara and cycle towards the Clock Tower (Turnul cu Ceas). From there, take Strada T. Vladimirescu southeast. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Strada Scolii, and turn left. Follow Strada Scolii to Strada Mihai Viteazul and turn right. Then take the next left onto DC54. Cycle along DC54 for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Via Transilvanica trailhead at DC54 126, Sighișoara 545400.
