Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by entering Timișoara. Use GPS navigation to guide you directly to Piața Libertății, Timișoara. The square is located at coordinates 45.7555068, 21.2273351. There are several parking options nearby, but be mindful of parking fees which can vary. Look for public parking areas such as 'Parcare Piața Libertății' or 'Parcare Vasile Alecsandri'. Ensure to check the payment methods available, as some areas may require you to pay via mobile app or at a machine.

• Public Transportation - Tram

  For those opting for public transportation, take the tram lines that service the area. Line 1, 2, or 7 can take you close to Liberty Square. Board the tram at any central stop, such as 'Catedrala Mitropolitană' or 'Piața Unirii'. The fare is approximately 2 RON (Romanian Lei) for a single journey. Once you reach the 'Piața Libertății' tram stop, it’s just a short walk to the square.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  Alternatively, you can take a bus to Piața Libertății. Lines 10, 14, or 20 serve the area with frequent stops. Board the bus at any central Timișoara bus station. A single ticket costs around 2 RON. Disembark at the 'Piața Libertății' bus stop, which is within walking distance to the square.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, you can walk to Liberty Square. From 'Piața Unirii', head east towards 'Strada 20 Decembrie 1989', then turn left onto 'Strada Eugeniu de Savoy'. Continue straight until you reach 'Piața Libertății'. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes and offers a lovely view of Timișoara's architecture along the way.
