Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Focșani. Head east on DN2/E85 towards the town of Adjud. Continue on DN2 for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Adjud. Once in Adjud, follow signs for DJ205A towards the village of Suraia. After entering Suraia, continue on DJ205A for about 15 km. You will see signs pointing toward Cascada Buciaș. Follow these signs, and park in the designated area near the waterfall. Be aware that the road to the waterfall may be unpaved in some sections, so drive carefully.
Public Transportation
To reach Cascada Buciaș via public transportation, take a bus from Focșani to Adjud. The bus service runs several times a day, and tickets can be purchased at the bus station. Once you arrive in Adjud, you will need to take a taxi or a local minibus towards Suraia. Make sure to specify that you want to go to Cascada Buciaș. The taxi fare can vary but expect to pay around 50-70 RON. After being dropped off, follow the signs to the waterfall, which is a short walk from the drop-off point.
Hiking
If you enjoy hiking, and you're already in the vicinity of Suraia, you can opt for a scenic hike to Cascada Buciaș. Starting from the village, head toward the marked trails that lead you through the forest. The hike is approximately 3 km one way and should take about 1 hour. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path can be rugged.
