Car
If you are driving, head towards Mânzălești from your current location in Vrancea. Use the main road (DN2) and follow the signs toward Focșani. Once you reach Focșani, take the exit for DN23 towards Mânzălești. Continue on DN23 for about 15 km until you reach the village of Mânzălești. The monastery is located just outside the village. Look for local signage directing you to Mănăstirea Găvanu.
Public Transportation
To reach Mănăstirea Găvanu by public transportation, first, take a bus from Focșani to Mânzălești. Buses depart regularly from the Focșani bus station. The fare is approximately 10 RON (2 USD). Once you arrive in Mânzălești, you can either walk to the monastery, which is about a 20-minute walk from the village center, or you may find a local taxi to take you directly to Mănăstirea Găvanu. Taxi fares should be negotiated in advance, generally costing around 15-20 RON (3-4 USD).
