To reach Lake Ihema in Akagera National Park by car, from the main entrance of the park, continue driving on the main road towards the southern part of the park. Follow the signs towards Lake Ihema. The road will lead you directly to the shores of Lake Ihema where you can park your car and enjoy the beautiful views.

If you are using public transportation, you can take a minibus or taxi from the main entrance of Akagera National Park towards the southern part of the park. Inform the driver that you want to go to Lake Ihema. They will drop you off at a point near the lake from where you can walk a short distance to reach the shores of Lake Ihema.
