Walking
If you are starting from the center of Butare (also known as Huye), head south on Avenue du Commerce. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn right and walk along Avenue de l'Indépendance for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nyanza Road. Continue walking along Nyanza Road for approximately 1 kilometer. The King's Palace Museum will be on your right. Look for the sign indicating the museum entrance.
Bicycle
Starting from the Butare city center, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head south on Avenue du Commerce, then turn right on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Cycle along Avenue de l'Indépendance until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nyanza Road. Continue for about 1 kilometer. The King's Palace Museum will be on your right, marked by signage. Be cautious of pedestrians and local traffic.

Find a nearby moto-taxi stand in Butare. Inform the driver you want to go to the King's Palace Museum, located on Nyanza Road. The ride should take about 10 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance of the museum.
