Walking
From the center of Butare, head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Avenue du Commerce. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Avenue du Commerce and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l'Université. Turn left onto Avenue de l'Université and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass the National Museum of Rwanda on your right. After the museum, keep walking straight until you see a sign for 'Kitabi Eco-Center' on your left. Follow the path leading to the Eco-Center.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Butare. Start at the intersection of Avenue de l'Indépendance and Avenue du Commerce. Cycle south on Avenue de l'Indépendance, then take the first exit at the roundabout onto Avenue du Commerce. Continue cycling straight until you reach Avenue de l'Université. Turn left and follow Avenue de l'Université for about 1 kilometer. You will see the National Museum of Rwanda on your right. Continue past the museum until you see the sign for 'Kitabi Eco-Center' on your left. Follow the road leading to the Eco-Center.

Head to a nearby moto-taxi stand in Butare. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Kitabi Eco-Center'. The journey should take around 20 minutes. The driver will take you south from the city center along the main road towards Nyamagabe. Keep an eye out for signs indicating 'Kitabi Eco-Center'. Once you arrive, the driver can drop you off at the entrance.
