    Starting from the centre of Butare, head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue Nyabugogo. Walk straight for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Nyanza. Turn left onto this road (Unnamed Road) and continue for about 1 kilometer. The Mwima Mausoleum will be on your left side, marked by a small sign. You can recognize it by its surrounding greenery.

    From any location in Butare, find a nearby moto-taxi station (you can ask locals where the nearest one is). Take a moto-taxi and tell the driver you want to go to Mwima Mausoleum in Nyanza.
