From Cyangugu, head northeast on the main road (RN1) towards Kibuye. The total distance to Kibuye is approximately 70 kilometers, which should take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Follow the signs for Kibuye, and once you arrive in Kibuye, look for the signs towards the Congo Nile Trail. The trailhead is located at W8QX+984, Kibuye.
