Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Gisenyi, head north along Avenue du Lac towards the main road. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenue de la Paix. Keep walking straight; you will pass several local shops and cafes. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the Gisenyi bus station. From there, you can catch a shared taxi or moto-taxi to Ruhengeri. Inform the driver that you want to go to Crema Coffee, which is known as a landmark. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes.

  • Moto-taxi

    If you're near the Gisenyi waterfront or any hotel in Gisenyi, you can find a moto-taxi easily. Simply approach a moto-taxi driver and tell them you would like to go to Crema Coffee in Ruhengeri. The ride will take around 30 minutes, and the fare will be approximately 2,000 to 3,000 RWF depending on your negotiation skills. Enjoy the scenic views during your ride.

  • Shared Taxi

    From Gisenyi, head to the main bus station. Look for shared taxis that are heading to Ruhengeri. These taxis usually leave when they are full, so you may have to wait a bit. The fare is about 2,500 RWF per person. Once you arrive in Ruhengeri, ask the driver to drop you off at Crema Coffee, where Kingfisher Journeys is located.
