From Gitarama, head east on the N1 road toward Kigali. Continue on the N1 for about 35 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Kigali. Take the exit toward KN 169 St. Follow KN 169 St for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will arrive at Gatenga, located at coordinates 23H4+RG6.

To reach Gatenga via public transportation, take a bus from Gitarama to Kigali. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Gitarama. The fare is typically around 500 RWF. Once you arrive at the Nyabugogo bus terminal in Kigali, look for a local minibus (matatu) heading towards Gatenga. The fare for the matatu is usually around 300 RWF. The matatu will drop you off near the junction of KN 169 St, from where you can walk the remaining distance to Gatenga (approximately 5 minutes).

Motorcycle Taxi (Moto)
If you prefer a faster option, you can hire a motorcycle taxi from Gitarama to Gatenga. This can be arranged by asking at your hotel or finding a moto park in Gitarama. The fare for a motorcycle taxi is about 2,000 RWF. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your journey. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
