Walking
From the center of Kimihurura, head south on Avenue de la Paix. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue des Gouverneurs. Turn right onto Avenue des Gouverneurs. Continue walking for about 500 meters, keeping an eye out for the Kiyovu neighborhood signs. As you approach the Kiyovu area, you will see the Gorilla Statue on your left, just before the roundabout. It is located in a small park area, making it quite visible.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Kimihurura towards Kiyovu. Start at Kimihurura and take Avenue de la Paix heading south. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach Avenue des Gouverneurs. Turn right and cycle for approximately 500 meters until you see the Gorilla Statue on your left. This route is relatively flat and safe for cyclists.
Public Transport (Moto-Taxi)
From anywhere in Kimihurura, you can take a Moto-Taxi to reach the Gorilla Statue. Simply find a nearby Moto-Taxi driver and tell them you want to go to Kiyovu, specifically to the Gorilla Statue. The fare usually ranges from 1,000 to 2,000 Rwandan Francs depending on your exact pickup point within Kimihurura. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
