If you are in the central area of Kigali, start at the Kigali City Tower, which is a prominent landmark. From the Kigali City Tower, head southwest on Avenue de la Revolution towards Rue des Poids Lourds. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue du Commerce. Turn left onto Avenue du Commerce and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Industrie. Turn right onto Rue de l'Industrie and follow it until you see the entrance to Kiyovu neighborhood. As you enter Kiyovu, look for signs directing you to the Gorilla Statue, which is located in a small park area. The statue is easily visible once you are in the park.

From your location in Kigali, find the nearest bus stop that serves the city’s public bus routes. Take a bus heading towards Kiyovu. The buses are generally marked with their destination, so ensure you board one that says 'Kiyovu'. After a short ride, disembark at the Kiyovu stop. Once you get off, walk towards Avenue du Commerce. From there, follow the walking directions provided above to reach the Gorilla Statue.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from the center of Kigali to the Gorilla Statue in Kiyovu. Start at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, head towards Avenue de la Revolution, and then connect to Avenue du Commerce. Continue on your bike until you reach Rue de l'Industrie. Turn right and cycle through Kiyovu. The park where the Gorilla Statue is located is a short ride from the main road, and you will see the statue prominently displayed.
