As you approach Colline Rugoti, keep an eye out for the coordinates '39V5+V76' on your GPS or mapping application. The Gisiza recreation area will be located just off an unnamed road in Colline Rugoti, which is approximately 10 km from Rubavu. Ensure to have local currency as you may need to pay for parking or entrance fees at the recreation area.

For those using public transportation, you can take a 'moto' (motorcycle taxi) from Gisenyi or Kibuye to Rubavu. The fare is generally around 1,000 to 2,000 RWF depending on the distance. The bus fare is typically around 500 to 1,000 RWF. After arriving at Colline Rugoti, you can hire a local 'moto' to take you the remaining distance to the Gisiza recreation area. This should cost around 1,000 RWF.
