To reach Mu Rusumo from Musanze Caves by car, head south on the Kigali - Ruhengeri Road (N4). Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for a sign indicating Nyarutovu; Mu Rusumo is located just off this road at the coordinates 9Q3Q+73H. Once you reach the coordinates, you will find the entrance to Mu Rusumo. Ensure you have a GPS or a map app active for precise navigation.
Public Transportation
From Musanze Caves, you can take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Kigali. Board at the Musanze bus park. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Nyarutovu. The journey should take about 45 minutes and cost approximately 1,000 Rwandan Francs. Once you arrive at Nyarutovu, you can either walk or take a local motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to the exact location of Mu Rusumo. The boda-boda ride will cost around 500 Rwandan Francs.
