Car
If you are traveling by car from Musanze Caves to the Tea Plantation, start by heading southeast on the main road from Musanze Caves. Continue straight for about 7 km until you reach the junction. At the junction, turn left onto the road leading to Nkuli. Follow this road for another 5 km, and you will see signs for the Tea Plantation on your right. The exact address is CG8Q+44, Nkuli. Make sure to check for parking options upon arrival.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, walk to the nearest bus station in Musanze town. Look for a bus heading towards Nkuli or the direction of the Tea Plantation. The fare is usually around RWF 2000-3000. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Nkuli, ask the driver to drop you off near the Tea Plantation or use local motorbike taxis (known as 'motos') which usually charge around RWF 500-1000 for the last short distance to the plantation.
Motorbike Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorbike taxi directly from Musanze Caves. Negotiate the fare, which should range from RWF 3000 to RWF 5000. The driver will take you directly to the Tea Plantation, navigating through local roads. This method is faster than public buses and allows for more flexibility in terms of stops.
