Car
If you are driving, start from the nearest major town in Northern Province, such as Musanze. Take the RN4 road towards Kigali. Continue on RN4 until you reach the junction with RN1. Follow RN1 south towards Nyanza. Once you reach Nyanza, look for the JPVP+M7Q Unnamed Road on your GPS. The Mwima Mausoleum will be on this road. There is no entrance fee for visiting the mausoleum.
Public Transportation
To reach Mwima Mausoleum via public transportation, start at any bus station in Northern Province, such as the Musanze Bus Station. Take a bus heading to Nyanza. Upon arriving in Nyanza, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (known locally as 'moto') to reach the Mwima Mausoleum on JPVP+M7Q Unnamed Road. The fare for the moto should be around 1,000 RWF, but it's advisable to negotiate the price beforehand.
Walking
If you are already in Nyanza town, you can walk to the Mwima Mausoleum. From the town center, head towards the Unnamed Road that leads to the mausoleum. It is approximately a 30-minute walk. Make sure to ask locals for directions if you are unsure, as they can provide helpful guidance.
