Car
If you are driving in Northern Province, you can reach Nyamulindira by taking the RN4 road towards Byumba. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the town of Byumba. From Byumba, continue on the RN4 for another 15 km until you see signs for Nyamulindira. Turn left onto the dirt road that leads to Nyamulindira. The journey should take around 1 hour from Byumba, depending on road conditions.
Public Transportation
To reach Nyamulindira via public transportation, you can take a bus from Kigali to Byumba. The bus terminal in Kigali is located at Nyabugogo. Once in Byumba, you can find a local taxi or motorbike taxi (moto) to take you to Nyamulindira. The bus ride from Kigali to Byumba typically costs around 2,000 RWF and takes about 2-3 hours. The taxi or moto from Byumba to Nyamulindira will cost approximately 1,500 RWF and takes about 30 minutes.
Combined Transport (Car and Public Transport)
If you prefer a combination of transport, you can take a bus from Kigali to Byumba and then hire a private car or moto taxi from Byumba to Nyamulindira. This allows for more flexibility in your schedule. The total cost for the bus (2,000 RWF) plus the taxi (1,500 RWF) remains the same, but you may have to wait for a taxi to become available in Byumba.
