Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Nyagatare Town Market. From the market, head southwest on Avenue de la Paix for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with EN6st. Turn left onto EN6st and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass by local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Umuvumba Riverside Lodge, which will be on your right just past the Nyagatare District Road intersection.

• Bicycle

  Begin your journey at the Nyagatare Town Market. Rent a bicycle from one of the local vendors near the market. Cycle southwest along Avenue de la Paix for about 500 meters. Once you reach the junction with EN6st, turn left. Continue on EN6st for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see a number of local establishments along the way. Look for signage that indicates the direction to Umuvumba Riverside Lodge, located on the right side after you pass the intersection with Nyagatare District Road.

• Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)

  From any point in Nyagatare, find a nearby motorbike taxi (locally known as Boda Boda). Inform the driver that you would like to go to Umuvumba Riverside Lodge, located on EN6st Nyagatare District Rd. The driver will likely take you through Avenue de la Paix before turning onto EN6st. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Keep an eye out for the lodge, which will be on your right after the intersection with the Nyagatare District Road.
