A Fantastic Way to Experience Lake Kivu

This tour was one of the highlights of my time in Rwanda. It offered a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and learning about life around Lake Kivu. The scenery along the shoreline was stunning, with beautiful views of the lake, rolling hills, fishing villages, and local communities that gave a real sense of the region. What made the experience special was how much local insight was shared throughout the tour. I learned about the history of Lake Kivu, the fishing culture, transportation on the lake, and the many activities available in the area. It felt much more personal than simply sightseeing. One of my favorite parts was visiting the hot springs. It was a fun and unique stop where we could relax and enjoy the warm water while taking in the surroundings. I would definitely recommend bringing clothing that can get wet so you can fully enjoy the experience. The unexpected highlight for me was the jet ski ride. Getting out on the water added a completely different perspective of the lake. The combination of speed, fresh air, and incredible views made it an unforgettable experience and easily one of the most exciting moments of the day. The tour was well organized, easy-going, and suitable for anyone wanting to explore Lake Kivu without feeling rushed. Between the beautiful scenery, local knowledge, hot springs, and jet skiing, it was a fantastic way to spend the day. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and looking for a memorable experience on and around Lake Kivu.

Incredible Two-Day Tour with Platini – Highly Recommend!

I did a two-day tour in April 2025 with Platini through Shalom Safaris, visiting Uganda and Lake Kivu, and it was a truly memorable experience. World Class Personal Medical Care in Cozumel Mexico

I met Dr Picollo and his wife/RN Heidi, when I sought medical treatment following a scuba diving incident. After diving i wasn not feeling right and my family insisted I seek emergency care. We went to Dr Picollo at Meditur medical adjacent to the San Miguel Clinic. The Dr and his staff were the most caring and professional team I hav ever encountered in any country. They diagnosed me with Decompression sickness and I was given three days of HBOT treatment. They then referred me for emergency follow up at the San Miguel Clinic Hospital which is adjacent to the Dr's office. Not only did they gve me top notch medical care, they arranged for me to be escorted on the flight home. Mrs Picollo the RN actually sat with me on the flight home. She did not receive any compensation for this care, she just decided it was what I needed to fly safely home. The care I recieved was state of the art medcal care better than that of standards in the USA.I wish I could have them as my doctor at home .
