Walking
From the center of Ruhengeri, start at the Ruhengeri Market. Head south on Avenue du Commerce and walk straight for about 15 minutes. You will pass by several small shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for the signs directing towards Kigali. As you approach the outskirts of Ruhengeri, you will reach the main road (Route Nationale 4). Cross the road carefully and continue walking south. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the Nyabugogo bus terminal in Kigali.

From Ruhengeri, go to the local bus station located near the main market. Look for buses heading to Kigali, which are frequent. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Kigali, ask the bus conductor to drop you off near Nyabugogo bus terminal. From there, walk towards the city center. You can follow the signs for 'Centre ville' or 'Kigali Main Roundabout'. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the bus terminal.
