From Volcanoes National Park, head southeast towards the town of Musanze. Follow the signs for Musanze, which is approximately 30 kilometers (about 1 hour) from the park entrance. Once you reach Musanze, take the road leading to Kisoro in Uganda. After about 40 kilometers (about 1 hour), you will reach the border post at Cyanika. Ensure you have your passport and any necessary visas for crossing into Uganda. After crossing the border, continue on the same road until you reach Lake Bunyonyi, which is about 20 kilometers (30 minutes) from the border. Look for signs directing you to the lake.
