Walking

From the center of Newcastle, head southeast towards the main road (Cayon Street). Follow Cayon Street until you reach the junction with the main road leading to Charlestown. At the junction, turn left onto the main road. Continue walking along this road, enjoying the local scenery. After approximately 2 km, you will reach the town of Charlestown. Here, you can stop at a local shop to get refreshments before proceeding. As you leave Charlestown, look for signs pointing towards Nevis Peak or Fountain. The trailhead for Nevis Peak is located in Fountain, which is roughly another 2 km from Charlestown. Follow the road signs to reach the trailhead, where you can begin your hike up Nevis Peak.
Public Transport

From Newcastle, walk to the nearest bus stop on Cayon Street. Take a bus heading towards Charlestown. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Charlestown, disembark and walk towards the main road leading to Fountain. It is a short walk of about 2 km. Look for signs indicating the trailhead for Nevis Peak. Upon reaching the trailhead, you can start your hike.
