    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Old Road Town, head east on the main road towards Basseterre. Follow the road for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the junction with the main street that leads into Basseterre. Continue straight until you see the public market on your left. Independence Square is located just a short walk past the market. Look for the large open area; it is well-marked and surrounded by historical buildings.

    If you are near the Old Road Bay, start by heading west towards the main road. Once you reach the main road, turn left and walk towards Basseterre. After about 25 minutes, you will pass several local shops. Keep heading straight, and eventually, you will arrive at Independence Square, located on the right side of the road after the public market.

    From the Old Road Town ferry terminal, exit the terminal and turn right onto the main road. Walk straight for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, turn left and continue walking straight until you reach Independence Square, which will be on your right, just past the public market.
