Walking
From any location in Anse la Raye, head towards the main road that leads out of the village. You will want to walk towards the direction of the nearest bus stop on the main road. Follow the road until you reach the intersection with the highway (the A1 road).
Walking
Once you reach the A1 road, turn left and continue walking towards Soufrière. Keep an eye out for local buses heading to Soufrière; they usually have a sign in the window indicating their destination. You can also ask locals for help if needed.
Public Transport (Bus)
When you see a bus headed towards Soufrière, wave it down. The fare is quite affordable, and the journey should take around 30-45 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Walking
Once you arrive in Soufrière, get off at the Soufrière Post Office stop on Bridge Street. From there, you can ask locals for directions to the Gros Piton start point, which is about a 5-10 minute walk from the post office.
Walking
Head south on Bridge Street, and follow the signs for Gros Piton. You will pass by some local shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the trailhead for the Gros Piton hike, which should be clearly marked.
Hiking
Once at the trailhead, you can begin your hike up Gros Piton. Make sure to have proper hiking gear and plenty of water for the journey.
