Getting There

• Walking

  From Castries, head north on Derek Walcott Square towards the Castries Harbor. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the main road. Turn left onto Jeremie Street, which will lead you out of the city center. Follow Jeremie Street until you reach the end, where it meets the Castries-Gros Islet Highway. This road is well-marked and will take you towards Gros Islet. As you walk, keep an eye out for local shops and vendors along the way. Once on the highway, continue straight for about 15-20 minutes until you see signs for Gros Islet. Upon entering Gros Islet, look for the signs directing you to Pigeon Island Causeway. The causeway is located off an unnamed road that leads directly to the island.

• Public Bus

  From Castries, walk to the bus terminal located near the Central Market. Look for a bus marked 'Gros Islet' or 'Rodney Bay.' Board the bus, which will take you directly to Gros Islet. The ride typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Gros Islet, ask the driver or locals for directions to Pigeon Island Causeway. Most people in the area will be familiar with it. From the bus stop, it is a short 10-15 minute walk to the causeway.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Castries to Pigeon Island Causeway. Head to any taxi stand in Castries, such as near the Central Market or Derek Walcott Square. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Pigeon Island Causeway in Gros Islet. The taxi ride should take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic.
