If you are starting from the Castries Market, exit the market and head towards the main road (John Compton Highway). Turn left onto the highway, and walk straight for about 5 minutes. You will pass several local shops and cafes on your left. Continue walking until you see a roundabout ahead. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Micoud Street. Keep walking for another 3 minutes, and you will see Derek Walcott Square on your right. The square is easily identifiable by its beautiful gardens and the iconic statue of Derek Walcott.
