Walking
From the center of Micoud, head southwest towards the main road (Micoud to Vieux Fort road). Continue walking on this road for approximately 5 km. You will pass through lush landscapes and local communities. As you approach Vieux Fort, look for signs indicating the direction towards Maria Islands Nature Reserve. When you reach the roundabout at Vieux Fort, take the second exit onto the road leading towards the coast. Continue until you reach the entrance to the reserve, which will be on your left.

Public Transport (Bus)
From any point in Micoud, make your way to the nearest bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards Vieux Fort; these buses are typically marked with 'Vieux Fort' on the front. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Inform the bus driver you want to get off at the stop nearest to Maria Islands Nature Reserve. Once you arrive in Vieux Fort, walk towards the coast and follow the signs to the reserve. It's about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
