    If you are driving in Morne Fortune, head towards the main road leading to the lookout point. From the center of Morne Fortune, take the road heading towards the west. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main highway (Vigie Highway). Turn left onto the Vigie Highway and follow the signs for Morne Fortune. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs for Purple, which is located on the right side of the road. There is ample parking available on-site, and it is free.

    To reach Purple using public transportation, find a local minibus heading towards Morne Fortune. You can catch these minibuses from various points in Castries. Once aboard, inform the driver that you are going to Purple, as they will be familiar with the location. The fare is typically around 2-3 Eastern Caribbean dollars. After approximately 15 minutes of travel, you will be dropped off near the entrance to Purple. From there, it’s a short walk to the observatory.

  • Walking from Nearby Landmarks

    If you are near the Government House or the historic Fort Charlotte, you are only a short walk away from Purple. Head south from Fort Charlotte along the main road. Continue walking down the hill until you reach the intersection with Vigie Highway. Turn left and walk for about 10 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Purple on your right.
