Walking
If you are starting from the Vieux Fort town center (near the market), head south towards the main road, which is the A1. Walk along the main road heading towards the airport. You will pass several local shops and restaurants. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road leading to Sandy Beach. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Friendship Recreation Park. After about 5 minutes of walking along this road, you will find the park entrance on your right. The park is located along the beachfront, so the views are beautiful.

From the Vieux Fort town center, locate the bus stop near the market. Take a local minibus heading towards the airport or Sandy Beach. The fare is usually quite affordable. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Sandy Beach. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, walk towards the beach, and you will find Friendship Recreation Park just a short distance away along the beachfront.
