Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Miquelon, start at the local ferry terminal (Gare Maritime). Head south toward the main road (Rue de la République) and follow it. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Rue du Moulin. Turn left onto Rue du Moulin and continue for another 1 kilometer. You will then reach a fork in the road; take the right path that leads towards the coastline. Follow the signs pointing to Pointe Plate, and after about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the scenic area of Pointe Plate.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the town center and ride south toward Rue de la République. Continue along this road for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the intersection with Rue du Moulin, turn left. After about 1 kilometer, at the fork in the road, take the right side that leads towards the coast. Follow the signs to Pointe Plate; the total biking distance is approximately 3 kilometers from the town center, and it should take about 10-15 minutes.

  • Hiking

    For those who enjoy hiking, begin at the Miquelon Municipal Hall (Mairie de Miquelon). Head toward Rue de la République and walk south. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Rue du Moulin. Continue for approximately 1 kilometer, and at the fork, take the right path toward the coastline. The hike will take you through beautiful natural scenery and should take about 45 minutes to reach Pointe Plate.
