Quail Point: A Scenic Vista in Saint-Pierre

Getting There

• Car

  If you have access to a car, start your journey in Pointe aux Canons by heading south on Route de l'Île towards Saint-Pierre. Continue on this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Route de la Côte. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Quail Point on your right. Turn onto the dirt road leading to Quail Point. It is a short drive of about 1 kilometer on this road before you arrive at the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check the local bus schedule for routes that connect Pointe aux Canons to Saint-Pierre. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Saint-Pierre, you may need to walk or take a taxi to reach Quail Point. The taxi ride should take around 10 minutes, and you can expect to pay approximately 10-15 Euro for the fare. Alternatively, if a local tour is available, consider joining one that includes Quail Point in its itinerary.

• Walking

  For those who prefer walking, start at Pointe aux Canons and follow Route de l'Île towards Saint-Pierre. It will take you approximately 45 minutes to an hour to walk the 4 kilometers to Quail Point. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, as there are limited facilities along the route. As you approach Quail Point, look for the dirt access road on the right where you'll find the viewpoint.
