    From the center of Georgetown, head north towards the main road (also known as the Windward Highway). Once you reach the main road, turn left and walk along the road. Continue walking for approximately 4.5 kilometers, passing by local shops and houses. You may encounter a few small hills, so wear comfortable shoes. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Owia. After about 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach a junction. At this junction, keep to the left, following signs that indicate 'Owia' or 'Owia Salt Pond'. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers until you see signs for Owia Salt Pond. The entrance to the salt pond will be on your right.

    From the center of Georgetown, walk to the main bus terminal located near the waterfront. Look for a bus heading to Owia; these buses are often marked with 'Owia' in the front window. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once the bus arrives in Owia, ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Owia Salt Pond. The bus will drop you off near the entrance, and from there, it is just a short walk to the pond.
