If you are starting from the main area of Mulifanua, head east towards the coast along the main road. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork which will lead you towards the village of Vailoa. Keep an eye out for local signage that will guide you further. After another 1.5 kilometers, you'll approach Vailoa village. Look for signs pointing to the Afu Aau Waterfalls. The waterfalls are located about 400 meters from the village center, and you will find a small pathway leading to them.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Mulifanua. From the rental shop, head towards the main road and ride east. Follow the same route as if walking, riding for about 1 kilometer until you reach the fork. Take the left fork towards Vailoa village. Continue cycling for another 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the village, park the bicycle at a safe spot and walk the last 400 meters down the path to the Afu Aau Waterfalls.
