Getting There

    If you're driving from the center of Satupa'itea, head west on the main road towards the coast. Continue for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with Manono Starmound Trail. Turn right onto Manono Starmound Trail. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer; you will see signs directing you to Star Mound. There is a small parking area near the trailhead where you can leave your car.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Star Mound using public transportation, look for a local bus that travels along the main road heading towards the coast. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Manono Starmound Trail. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach the junction where you need to disembark. From the bus stop, walk about 1 kilometer down Manono Starmound Trail, following the signs to Star Mound. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited.

  • Walking

    If you're already in Satupa'itea and prefer to walk, start from the town center and head west along the main road. It’s approximately a 3-kilometer walk to the junction with Manono Starmound Trail. Once you reach the junction, turn right and continue walking for about 1 kilometer along the trail until you reach Star Mound. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially on warm days.
