Getting There

Walking
From Salelologa Wharf, where ferries arrive from Upolu, exit the wharf and head towards the main road (Falealili Road). Follow the road north, passing through the small village of Salelologa. Continue walking along the main road for about 10 kilometers until you reach a junction at the village of Savai'i. At the junction, turn left onto the A'opo Road. Continue along this road for approximately 5 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of the island. You will see signs directing you towards A’opo Conservation Area, so keep an eye out for those. After about 15 minutes of walking down A'opo Road, you will arrive at the entrance of A’opo Conservation Area.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle at one of the local shops in Salelologa. Start your journey from Salelologa Wharf and follow Falealili Road north. It’s a flat route, making it easy to cycle. After about 10 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Savai'i. Turn left onto A'opo Road and continue cycling for about 5 kilometers. The entrance to A’opo Conservation Area will be well-marked, and you should reach it in roughly 30-40 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.

Bus
From Salelologa Wharf, look for the local buses that head towards the villages along the northern coast of Savai'i. Board any bus that is heading towards the A'opo region. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at A'opo Road. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at A'opo Road, you will need to walk approximately 400 meters towards the entrance of A’opo Conservation Area, which should be clearly marked.
