Car
If you are driving, start by heading towards the main road that leads into Città di San Marino. From Monte Lupo, take the SP1 road towards San Marino. Follow the signs for Città di San Marino. Once in the city, look for signs directing you to the Guaita Tower. You can park your car in the designated parking areas near the city center, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around €1.50 per hour. After parking, walk towards Salita Alla Rocca, where Guaita Tower is located. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes uphill.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, check the local bus schedule for services from Monte Lupo to Città di San Marino. The bus ride will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Città di San Marino, exit and head towards the city center. Follow the signs to Salita Alla Rocca, which is a well-marked path leading to Guaita Tower. The walk will take about 15-20 minutes uphill. Public transport tickets usually cost around €2-€3 per person.
Walking from the city center
If you are already in Città di San Marino, make your way towards the city center and locate the entrance to Salita Alla Rocca. The pathway is clearly marked and will lead you directly to Guaita Tower. It's a steep ascent, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a 15-20 minute walk. As you ascend, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding area, making the effort worthwhile.
