From the center of Ribeira Afonso, head south towards the coastal road. Follow the path that runs along the shoreline, enjoying the scenic views. Continue walking until you reach the main junction where the path diverges. Take the left path leading towards Porto Alegre. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs indicating the way to Ilhéu das Rolas. Follow this path for another 2 kilometers until you reach the ferry terminal in Porto Alegre. Board the ferry to Ilhéu das Rolas, which usually departs hourly. The ferry ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Upon arriving at Ilhéu das Rolas, follow the signs directing you to the Equator Landmark, which is a short walk from the ferry dock.

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ribeira Afonso. Start by riding south along the coastal road, taking in the beautiful landscape. After 1.5 kilometers, at the junction, take the left towards Porto Alegre. Continue cycling for about 2 kilometers, where you will come to the ferry terminal. Lock your bike securely at the terminal and board the ferry to Ilhéu das Rolas. The ferry ride lasts around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Ilhéu das Rolas, disembark and walk to the Equator Landmark, which is well signposted.
