Car
If you are starting from Ziguinchor, take the N4 road heading east towards Kolda. Continue on the N4 for approximately 35 km until you reach the town of Oussouye. From Oussouye, follow signs to Dioubour, which is about 20 km further east. Upon arriving in Dioubour, look for the location MV84+2X, which is your destination. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as gas stations can be sparse in rural areas.
Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
To reach Kalunai by public transportation, head to the main taxi-brousse station in Ziguinchor. Take a taxi-brousse heading towards Kolda and inform the driver that you want to stop at Oussouye. The fare is usually around 1,500 to 2,500 CFA francs. Once you arrive in Oussouye, you can either take another taxi-brousse to Dioubour or hire a motorcycle taxi (known as 'Jakarta') for a more direct route. The motorcycle taxi fare to Dioubour will typically be around 1,000 CFA francs. Upon reaching Dioubour, ask locals for direction to MV84+2X.
Motorcycle Taxi
If you are already in Dioubour, the quickest way to Kalunai is by hiring a motorcycle taxi. You can find motorcycle taxis near the main road or ask locals to point you in the right direction. The fare to MV84+2X is usually around 500 to 1,000 CFA francs depending on the distance and negotiation.
