If you are starting from the Dakar Central Market (Marché Kermel), head southwest on Rue de la République towards Avenue Presidente Léopold Sédar Senghor. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue Moussa Tavele. Turn left onto Avenue Moussa Tavele and walk for about 15 minutes. You will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for the large bronze statue of the African Renaissance Monument as you get closer. The Place du Souvenir Africain will be on your right.

You will see the Place du Souvenir Africain on your left, with its iconic monuments and open plaza.
