From Fatick, head southeast on the N1 highway towards Mbour. Continue on the N1 for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Mbour. Once in Mbour, follow the signs for Somone. Turn onto Route de la Somone and follow it until you arrive in Somone. As you enter Somone, look for the signs directing you to Lagune de la Somone, which is located at FWW7+CX. You can park your car at available parking spaces near the lagoon.

To reach Lagune de la Somone from Fatick via public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the main taxi station in Fatick to Mbour. The fare is typically around 1,500 CFA. Once you arrive in Mbour, you need to catch another taxi-brousse heading to Somone. This ride will cost approximately 500 CFA. Upon arriving in Somone, ask the driver to drop you off as close to Lagune de la Somone as possible, which is located at FWW7+CX. From there, it may be a short walk to the lagoon.
