From Kolda, start your journey by heading northwest on the N6 road. Continue on N6 for approximately 320 km until you reach the intersection with the N1 highway. Merge onto the N1 highway heading towards Dakar. Stay on the N1 for about 140 km. Once you reach Dakar, follow signs for 'Mamelles' or 'Phare des Mamelles'. The lighthouse is located on the Mamelles, Rte de l'Aeroport. Parking is available nearby, but ensure to check for any parking fees.

Begin by taking a local bus or 'brousse' from Kolda to Dakar, which can cost around 5,000 CFA francs. The journey usually takes 5-7 hours depending on traffic.
