Getting There

  • Car

    Start from Louga and head south on the N2 highway. Continue driving for approximately 65 km until you reach Sindia. Keep an eye out for signs for Bandia Reserve as you approach the area. Once in Sindia, look for the signs indicating the entrance to Bandia Reserve, which is located right off the route de Mbour. The reserve is accessible and well-marked, making it relatively easy to find. Note that there is an entrance fee, so be prepared to pay upon arrival.

    From Louga, take a 'Ndiaga Ndiaye' shared taxi or a bus heading towards Dakar. Inform the driver you are going to Sindia. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Sindia, you will need to take a taxi to reach Bandia Reserve, which is roughly 10 km away. Make sure to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey. Expect to pay around 2000-3000 CFA for the taxi ride to Bandia Reserve. Upon arrival, you will also need to pay an entrance fee to access the reserve.
