Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Republic Square (Trg Republike), head southwest towards Knez Mihailova Street, a pedestrian zone lined with shops and cafes. Walk along Knez Mihailova until you reach the end of the street, where you will see the Kalemegdan Park entrance. Enter the park and follow the paths leading uphill towards the fortress. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes.

    From the Republic Square, take tram number 2 or 5 towards the Kalemegdan stop. This is a short ride (about 5-10 minutes). Once you get off at Kalemegdan, follow the signs to the fortress, which is a short walk from the tram stop.
