Ferry
To reach Vanille-Plantagen, first, take a ferry from Mahé Island to La Digue. Ferries are operated by companies like Cat Cocos and Inter Island Ferry. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 30-50 SCR (Seychellois Rupees) one way. Ensure to check the ferry schedule in advance as it may vary, especially on weekends.
Bike Rental
Once you arrive at La Digue, you can rent a bicycle, which is a popular way to explore the island. Rental shops are available near the ferry terminal, and prices typically range from 100-150 SCR per day. After renting a bike, head southeast on the main road, following the signs towards Anse Réunion.
Navigation
Continue cycling along the road until you reach the junction at Anse Réunion. At the junction, turn left onto the road leading towards the east coast of the island. Follow this road; it will take you through beautiful scenery. Keep an eye out for directional signs to Vanille-Plantagen.
Walking
After cycling approximately 2 km, you will reach the entrance to Vanille-Plantagen. Park your bike at the designated area and walk the short distance to the entrance. Make sure to check the opening hours in advance, as it can vary.
